21st century basing

Dismounted confederate cavalry

Dismounted Union cavalry
Two regiments for Longstreet roll off the painting table. Both are from Cracker line miniatures which a lot of character for a 10mm figure.  But I am particular satisfied with the bases.

Front row left old basing method, front row centre new basing method.  They look the same but...
The new bases are designed in CAD and printed on a 3d printer

The regiments a test pieces
The circle void in the centre was to hold a magnet (when it arrives) while the recess at the back provides contact point  to attach labels to the unit
Going with 3D printer lets me make more complicated unit movement trays
Work in progress on a CAD sturucture

That is all for now thanks for stopping by
